UK Youth Parliament student speaker!

Alya and Perla are two of the eight elected members of the Kent Youth County Council (KYCC), and along with Alex are representatives at the UK Youth Parliament. They had the opportunity to attend and speak at the Houses of Common's sitting on the 6th November, with this video showing Alya doing so both passionately and eloquently (and ticking all the Langton values!)

Of the eight representatives for Kent, three are Langton students, a great indicator of both our drive for female representation and of the power, impact and importance of developing oracy. We encourage students to apply for the KYCC through our IVE lessons - giving tangible outcomes and evidence to their studies into imagined orders (Year 7) and governments and democracy (Year 9).
