Year 10 Art and Poetry Workshop

Last week, a group of our students in Year 10, had a very inspiring day, in a workshop with poet and performance artist Dzifa Benson and hosted by the North Kent arts organisation, Cement Fields. 

Students had the opportunity to create work that reflected their own personal thoughts about community and how their own individual sense of identity contributes to the greater whole.  

One student wrote about the workshop: I felt really inspired by the workshop as it opened me up to the possibilities of poetry, which was lots of fun!  Dzifa made sure that it was really engaging for everyone involved. 

The students created some incredibly powerful collective poetry, which was both honest and moving. Thank you very much to all the participants!
