Simon Langton Girls' Grammar School originated in the Middle Ages as an educational foundation for children in Canterbury, emerging as a separate school for girls in 1881. Our school motto "Meliora Sequamur" (Let's Aim for Better Things) emphasizes the school's continued commitment to excellence. Year 10 Student Laura Tolley Achieves National Success in RugbyPosted Thursday 17th May 2012
Year 10 SLGGS Student, Laura Tolley, achieved national success in rugby on Saturday when she helped her team to victory in the National Sevens Final in Litchfield, near Birmingham, by scoring a try.
“We only had 1 try scored against us in the whole tournament,” said Laura who’s still recovering from a few aches and bruises.
The girls played six 7s games on the day of the final against teams from all over the UK, each match being 14 minutes long with 7 team members on each side.
