Outline of the Course
This is a one year AS course aimed to support students who are not taking A Level Mathematics, but who are taking A Level subjects with some mathematical content, such as Psychology, Biology, Geography or Business Studies. You will develop and learn to apply real-world maths skills through solving problems in various contexts, including Social Networking, Sport, Travel, Finance and Health. The maths content of the course will focus on four main areas:
- Application of Statistics
- Probability
- Linear Programming
- Sequences and Growth
