KS3 - Science
At SLGGS we are a warm and welcoming team who believe that all students should experience a broad and balanced science curriculum. This should ignite their inner wonder of the world around them, and we know that all three sciences in unity are essential to achieve this aim.
We want our students to be ambitious and challenge perceived ideas or misconceptions by considering new ideas or approaches to a problem. They should also understand the implications of science in an ever-changing world. At KS3 we cover all sciences, emphasising links between them and the world around us. We also introduce scientific research and the transferable skills that are needed to be able to analyse information objectively and reach valid and reliable conclusions. We hope that this will inspire students to question the world around them and to want to continue these studies to contribute to our global society.
