KS3 - Drama

Choose a subject

Drama is offered to students in Year 7 (with the exception of Year 8) all the way through to KS5 if they choose the subject as one of their options areas. We also offer LAMDA lessons which allows students to take their examinations in speech and drama through private lessons with our specialist teacher. Students can also join one of our lunchtime drama clubs to expand their improvisation and scripted performance skills. There are several opportunities for students to perform throughout the year whether that be in our showcase evenings or Artsfest.

Drama is a subject which offers students the opportunity to build a range of skills through explorations of text, discussion, group work and role-play. We offer students the opportunity to study a wide range of texts and build their confidence in performing. Many of these such as problem solving, public speaking and developing empathy can be utilised in other subject areas.
