Student Finance Presentation at The University of Kent on Monday 14 November

The University of Kent is holding a presentation on Monday 14 November as part of national Student Finance Day. National Student Finance Day is a day dedicated to explaining the 2012 changes to student finance in England,  which will affect students who enter higher education in 2012.  The aim of the campaign is to ensure potential students, their families and educators understand how the new student finance scheme operates in order that they will be better informed about the true cost university and the financial support available. The university will host two events on 14 November: a Facebook discussion between 3-5pm (to take part visit Kent’s Facebook page and see their Student Finance discussion topic) and a presentation on the Canterbury campus from 5 –6 pm.  Both these events will explain the changes to fees and funding for 2012, provide full information about Kent’s £6m financial support scheme and answer any questions.  The university aims to demonstrate, despite the increased costs to students, how funding is available to ensure that higher education, and a quality university experience, is accessible to all.  Email information@kent.ac.uk for more details
